The Canadian Medical Association has just completed a vote to recommend as a body that Canadian politicians should vote against Motion 312 to have a discussion on the nature and genesis of human life.
Let's be clear - they are voting against the discussion, not against changing the definition of human life.
This begs the question: What are they so afraid of? If the CMA is so certain of their position as medical practitioners that they are willing to actively practice abortion, why fear the debate? Surely, to be so certain that they are not murdering babies, they must have overwhelming evidence in their favour, no? Surely they would be debating from a position of strength! Anything less, and they would be operating in very murky waters ...
So, as Margaret Somerville of the Ottawa Citizen writes, Let's have the debate. If the Pro-Abortion crowd are so certain, surely they will having nothing to fear in a conversation.
Personally, the only time I've known people to avoid a conversation is when they are fearfully of where it might lead and what might be exposed.
Why do you think of the CMA's decision?
I totally agree. The CMA fear reprisals of their inhumane practices. They are enjoying the revenue from a fairly easy procedure.....but they know exactly what they are doing in these abortive procedures. Most abortionists will admit that they know they are killing a baby.
